Sigma De Mayo
Signature Centennial Event

The Zeta Eta Sigma and Zeta Zeta Sigma Alumnae chapters came together to present a joint Signature Centennial Event - "Sigma De Mayo". In honor of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. entering its 100th year of service, celebrations are occurring throughout the organization. As part of the Central Region, the birthplace and foundation of Sigma Gamma Rho, it was only fitting that we hosted an event that everyone could attend from the comfort of their homes while also creating a space for sorors to connect prior to the Homecoming.

All were welcome for the Virtual Happy Hour!

Mixer Kit sales ended 4/29/22 - Spot reservation ended 5/3/2022

12 Days of Sigma

As a build up to the Sigma De Mayo Event, we created a fellowshipping/social media campaign that showcased the sorority's comraderie, networking and service throughout the year. Each of the days boasted a different set of challenges for individuals to complete, while utilizing the hashtag #sigmademayo. The top three competitor won a gift card from Amazon. This build up was another great way for active sorors, sorors who are interested in reactivating, women who are interested, affiliates and everyone to be interactive and allow a sea of RHOyal Blue and Gold to be seen throughout Facebook/Meta and Instagram.

New Year, New Us

January 2022 - We had a vision board party where we put our goals for the new year on display in virtual/physical scrapbook form to encourage each other.

February 2022 - Dr. Cynthera McNeil, also a member of Sigma Gamma Rho, returned this year with another round of her Heart 2 Heart talk. She educated women on the importance of keeping our hearts healthy. We learned how all things that women experience as they age, directly affects our hearts and our ability to stay healthy while maintaining good heart function.

March 2022 - Soror Camea Daney EA, a tax professional, provided us with information regarding filing taxes and safe practices for special circumstances.
